Parents
Parents are crucial to the success of a school. Engaging parents in the school community and so in pupils' education can make all the difference in standards of academic achievement, behaviour and attendance. Opening your school to the community and inviting parents to participate not only in parents' evenings but in IT clubs, courses and extra-curricular activities can make your pupils happier and enrich the lives of the adults concerned, sometimes also offering them the chance to improve their own skills.
The Extended Schools programme is central
