Drugs and other addictive substances are a problem which needs addresses on many levels: through a whole-school policy, through prevention through education and through effective measures where this is already a problem.The DfES revised its guidance on drugs in spring 2004

The Department of Health has funded the 'Be Aware' Package. The package is published by both the National Children's Bureau and the Drug Education Forum and aims to engage young people in drug issues and concerns as well as raise awareness amongst professionals of the importance of young people being involved in policy and practice.
