Options

Careers education and guidance is a key new part of the 14 to 10 phase. As a result of the changes at Key Stage 4, young people will be making choices from a broader range of options, and will have to make these choices earlier, at 14.

Young apprenticeships are a new option at Key Stage 4.

Changes to the statutory requirements to the National Curriculum at Key Stage 4 have been made in Mathematics, Science and Design & Technology. There are also new entitlements which will affect all secondary schools.
